Mari Lwyd Shadow of the horse
The Mari Lwyd is one of the most ancient Celtic customs and was performed during the time of the Fire Festivals across Wales and Europe. A ritual that celebrated the ressurection of the Horse - when a dead horse mysteriously came back to life. The Romans celebrated tis in the name of Rhiannon when they occupied Britain.
